Job Description
- Install, configure, and deploy network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points (WiFi AP).
- Perform on-site network implementation for offices, retail outlets, and commercial projects.
- Carry out structured cabling, cable management, labeling, patch panel installation, and rack organization.
- Install, rack, relocate, and commission network equipment according to project requirements.
- Configure network devices based on network topology and design specifications.
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure network performance and stability.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, hardware, and configuration issues.
- Support project managers in project delivery, documentation, testing, and customer acceptance.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal project teams throughout implementation.
- Ensure projects are completed according to quality, safety, and company standards.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in network implementation, deployment, or field engineering.
- CCNA-level networking knowledge is required. CCNA certification is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of:
- TCP/IP
- VLAN
- STP
- DHCP
- DNS
- Able to independently configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Experience in office or retail network deployment projects.
- Familiar with structured cabling, cable management, patch panels, rack installation, and server cabinet organization.
- Able to read and understand network topology diagrams and implementation drawings.
- Willing to travel and work during night shifts when project schedules require.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with networking solutions from Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Ruijie, Aruba, Fortinet, or Cisco Meraki.
- Experience deploying enterprise WiFi solutions.
- Experience in retail outlet, office, or commercial network implementation projects.
- Experience with structured cabling or data centre infrastructure projects is an added advantage.
