Job Description
The Business Analyst role will be responsible for:
- Working with business users to perform requirements gathering, functional analysis, and business process mapping in a software development project setting.
- Converting business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Liaise, communicate with, and manage stakeholders in a software development project.
- Manage and respond to user requests in a post go-live support environment.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) - including but not limited to system analysis, design, and implementation.
- Plan and execute user training, project documentation, SIT and UAT.
- Coordinate project sprints and scrum sessions.
- Supporting project team to ensure that software development project is completed on time, within budget and meets client’s expectations.
Job Requirements
The Business Analyst will possess the following skills/expertise:
- Able to work independently and as part of a bigger team.
- Strong command of English to communicate professionally at all levels.
- Able to converse in Mandarin is a must (our clients are Mandarin-speaking)
- Able to write documentations and articulate ideas well.
- Familiar with BPM, UML diagramming, User Stories to produce software/functional documentation.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- At least 2-3 years working experience in any software development projects. Fresh graduates with interest in business analysis and software projects are welcomed too!
- Experience with visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau) will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of software development and technical background is an added advantage.
- IT software project management experience is an added advantage.
- Able to manage direct reports, working closely with other teammates to produce results.
- Require to travel to client location for workshops, sprint reviews, deployment or support. All travelling costs will be reimbursed.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Keen eye for details, strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good general business knowledge.
