Job Description

The Business Analyst Intern will support the project and product team in understanding business needs and translating them into clear documentation to assist the software development process. This role provides hands-on exposure to the software development lifecycle (SDLC), stakeholder communication, and business process analysis.

The intern will be responsible for:

• Assisting in requirements gathering and documenting business needs with guidance from senior team members.
• Supporting the team in functional analysis and business process mapping for software development projects.
• Assisting in converting business requirements into basic functional specifications and documentation.
• Supporting communication and coordination between business users, developers, and project stakeholders.
• Helping to manage and track user requests or issues in a post go-live support environment.
• Participating in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including system analysis, design discussions, and implementation support.
• Assisting in the preparation of project documentation, test cases, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Supporting the team in user training preparation and documentation.
• Assisting with sprint planning, scrum meetings, and project coordination activities.
• Supporting the project team to ensure deliverables are completed according to timelines and project goals.

Job Requirements

The Business Analyst Intern should possess the following qualities:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Strong interest in software development, business analysis, or IT project management.
• Basic understanding or exposure to business process mapping, user stories, or system documentation is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau) is a plus but not required.
• Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
