Job Description

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years full-stack experience in backend technologies and is able to work closely with other team members to build solutions that will meet business needs. 

You will work with a team of 10 people in web application development or SaaS product development. We are looking for individuals who can work independently in a software development project, at the same time collaborating with partners and other stakeholders in executing the technical requirements. 

Both Backend or Fullstack roles are available depending on your skill sets and interests.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work actively with other team members to write modular, testable, and scalable code to meet software development projects requirements and deadline.
• To fully understand system requirements and project tasks given by project lead.
• Provide technical input and feedback to team lead/solution architect if there are any opportunities for improvement.
• Adhere to software development best practices.
• Implement the highest level of coding standards to deliver quality work.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly sprint reviews with the team.
• Frequently touch-base with project lead and escalate any foreseeable issues to prevent project roadblocks.
• Take turns to provide technical support to clients (sometimes during non-working hours) if necessary.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
• Understand or worked with LEMP/LAMP stack.
• Proficient in PHP/Laravel, or will be willing to learn PHP/Laravel quickly (for backend roles)
• Proficient in React/Next.js (for frontend roles)
• Proficient in either vanilla JS or jQuery.
• Good understanding of HTML and CSS – able to build frontend websites according to mock-ups.
• Good understanding of relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server)
• Experience with Flutter or native mobile development is a plus.
• Experience with any CMS (e.g. WordPress or Drupal) is a plus.
• Familiar with TDD/BDD concepts and participated in a TDD/BDD based project is a plus.
• Able to think positively and critically, using logical and analytical steps to problem solving.
• Have great attention to detail and able to work independently.
