Job Description

About the role

SmartB Academy is a new division within SmartB. We run practical training programs for Malaysia’s business operators and corporate teams (especially around Ai, Technology, workflows automation, and digital transformation). We’re hiring a hands-on Marketing Executive who can market, fill, and coordinate trainings end-to-end with minimal guidance — across both corporate (private/in-house) trainings and public (open enrolment) trainings, delivered online and offline, including HRD Corp-related coordination.

Responsibilities

1) Training marketing & enrolment (Public + Corporate pipeline)

  • Drive sign-ups for public trainings (open enrolment): campaign planning, content, outreach, follow-up, confirmations.
  • Support acquisition for corporate/private trainings: assist with proposals/decks, coordinate discovery calls, manage scheduling and next steps.
  • Build and manage a simple funnel: leads → qualified → confirmed → attendance → post-training follow-up.

2) End-to-end training coordination (Online + Offline)

  • Coordinate trainer schedules, training calendar, venue/Zoom setup, participant communications, and attendance tracking.
  • Prepare operational checklists (materials, reminders, logistics, day-of run sheet).
  • Manage training-day execution:
    • Online: Zoom/Teams setup, tech checks, attendance, engagement support
    • Offline: venue, registration, AV, room setup, participant flow

3) HRD Corp process coordination

  • Coordinate HRD Corp-related admin flow and documentation (as applicable to each program).
  • Ensure participant records, attendance evidence, and required forms are complete and organised.

4) Post-training reporting & improvement

  • Collect feedback, compile simple reports (attendance, satisfaction, issues, improvements).
  • Create/refine SOPs so each training runs smoothly and consistently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

  • B2B marketing exposure (especially to SMEs / mid-market).
  • Comfortable hosting short briefings, managing participants, and handling last-minute changes.
  • Canva/content writing skills; basic CRM or spreadsheet pipeline tracking.

Success metrics (KPIs)

  • Public training sign-ups / seat fill rate and show-up rate.
  • Corporate training pipeline movement (qualified leads → confirmed bookings).
  • Training execution quality (on-time delivery, low issues, feedback score).
  • HRD Corp admin accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strong SOPs that reduce operational errors month-to-month.

B) BACKGROUND / QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–4 years relevant experience in training program marketing/coordination.
  • Proven experience handling BOTH:
    • Corporate/private trainings (in-house sessions for companies), and
    • Public trainings (open enrolment / public workshops).
  • Hands-on coordination experience for online AND offline training delivery.
  • Familiar with HRD Corp processes (documentation/admin flow; claim process familiarity is a plus).
  • Strong execution skills: disciplined follow-up, timeline ownership, detail accuracy.
  • Able to work independently in a growth company environment (minimal hand-holding).

C) JOB-RELATED QUALITIES DESIRED

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of software development processes, technologies, and industry trends will be a bonus.
