Job Summary

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting, and supporting the Finance Manager. This role plays a vital part in maintaining compliance with company policies and statutory requirements, while also contributing to efficient cash flow management and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate data entry of transactions into the accounting system, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Manage Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables efficiently.
• Process and prepare suppliers’ payments, ensuring favourable terms and accurate exchange rate handling.
• Issue invoices and monthly statements to clients, monitoring outstanding balances.
• Prepare reconciliations, budgets, financial analyses, and other reports as required.
• Support statutory audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded, supported, and entered in the accounting system.
• Contribute to accurate project costing and budget monitoring.
• Follow up on purchase orders and delivery schedules to ensure timely billing.
• Negotiate with external vendors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting matters promptly.
• Provide ad hoc accounting support as needed.
• Recommend improvements in processes and controls to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align accounting practices with company objectives.

Job Requirements

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and audit processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, SAP, QuickBooks, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
• High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and resourceful team player.
• Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, promoting a culture of mutual respect and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, or equivalent.
• At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience (preferably in General/Cost Accounting).
• Experience in audit, taxation, or financial planning is a plus.
• Familiarity with international transactions and currency exchange management is advantageous.
