Role Overview
The Sourcing Executive is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers to meet company requirements. This role focuses on negotiating pricing and terms, securing cost efficiencies, and ensuring that sourced products meet quality and delivery expectations. The Sourcing Executive plays a strategic role in supplier management, helping the business maintain a competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers (local and overseas) to meet business requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure best value for the company.
• Conduct supplier audits, quality checks, and performance reviews.
• Monitor market trends, new materials, and emerging suppliers to support innovation and cost savings.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for long-term collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and sourcing guidelines.
• Work closely with procurement and operations teams to align sourcing activities with company goals.
• Prepare sourcing reports and supplier performance evaluations. Skills & Competencies
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of supply markets and cost structures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in managing external suppliers.
• High attention to detail with problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (to liaise with overseas suppliers, especially in China).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems; experience in supplier databases is a plus.
