Job Description

Financial Transaction Management:

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Update accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely issuance of invoices and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
  • Review and verify expenses and financial records to ensure accuracy.
  • Update financial data in databases to maintain accuracy and accessibility.

Accounts Receivable & Payable Management:

  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies between receivables and payments received.
  • Assess client creditworthiness, monitor credit limits, and manage credit risk.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports, including aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of transactions and communications for auditing and reference.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and yearly closings, ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Support in the preparation of SST submissions and compliance reports.

Client & Internal Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth payment processes and address queries.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to streamline billing and payment operations.
  • Work closely with the finance team to enhance processes and workflows related to receivables and other financial operations.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in preparing for audits and addressing any findings related to financial operations.

Teamwork & Ad Hoc Responsibilities:

  • Contribute positively to team meetings and collaborate with team members to improve overall effectiveness.
  • Provide backup support during team member absences, covering accounts payable, receivables, or other financial tasks.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Job Requirements

  • A College or University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, working on more than one issue simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of credit control and financial management principles.
