About Software Development Apprenticeship Program

As an apprentice in Stampede’s Software Development Apprenticeship Program, you will undergo a well-organized learning and development initiative, tailored to empower you with the essential expertise to succeed as a Software Engineer. Over the course of the 3 months commitment, you will be fully engaged in hands-on projects, and mentored by our in-house experienced industry experts. This program is designed to nurture both your personal and professional development, ultimately preparing you for a great career kick-off in the software engineering industry!

Major Functions

1. Frontend Development: Learn the skills in UI design and master essential web languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Apprentice will delve into advanced jQuery techniques and reinforce the learning with retrospectives into real work experience
2. Backend Development: Enhancing the PHP fundamentals and exploring the Laravel framework, continuously applying it to object-oriented programming principles. Through this exercise, the apprentice will become adept at debugging techniques 
3. Database Management: Structured learning on the foundation of DB and progress into advanced concepts such as crafting SQL queries and building a small web application as a personal project 
4. Version Control and Collaboration: Training on GIT version control, ensuring coding standards are well adhered to and maintained, collaborating on group projects, and working on the company's product 
5. Hackathons and Project Showcase: Participate in creating and presenting creative projects, and engage in project evaluation and awards ceremonies.

Job Requirements

About you

• Recognized Degree in IT; Computer Science; Software Engineering, Finance, Business Information Technology, or relevant fields
• Strong passion for software development.
• Basic knowledge of programming concepts (prior experience is a plus).
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to the entire 3-month program.
