Job Description

• Prepare accurate AutoCAD drawings based on site measurements, approved quotations, and project specifications. 
• Produce detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, cutting layouts, and installation drawings for production. 
• Revise technical drawings according to client feedback, design changes, and project requirements. 
• Interpret architectural drawings, construction plans, and technical specifications accurately. 
• Coordinate closely with Sales Executives, Site Supervisors, Measurers, Project Coordinators, and Production teams to ensure drawing accuracy. 
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, project specifications, and manufacturing requirements. 
• Maintain proper drawing revisions, documentation, and project records. 
• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion when required. 
• Resolve technical drawing issues with internal departments to support smooth project execution. 
• Complete drawings within project timelines while maintaining high accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

Technical Drawings & Fabrication

• Convert site measurements and approved quotations into accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings, cutting layouts and fabrication details for production.
• Revise drawings to reflect client comments and project requirements, and prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

Coordination & Issue Resolution

• Collaborate with Sales Executives, Site Supervisors, Measurers and Production to confirm dimensions and resolve technical queries quickly.
• Communicate changes clearly so teams can act on updated drawings without delay.

Document Control & Delivery

• Maintain drawing records, manage revisions and ensure all files comply with project specifications and company standards.
• Prioritise tasks to meet project deadlines and flag risks or missing information early.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with 1-2 years of drafting experience will have an added advantage.
• Experience in stone fabrication, cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, renovation, or interior fit-out projects is preferred but not mandatory.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient in AutoCAD with strong 2D drafting skills required for production-ready drawings.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, SolidWorks, Revit, or other 3D design software is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of technical drawings, dimensions and construction details, with the ability to interpret architectural, shop and construction drawings accurately.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving when drawings or measurements do not match expectations.
• Able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and communicate effectively within a team.
• Positive attitude towards learning and collaboration while working with Stonehenge Surfaces Sdn Bhd's sales and production teams.
