Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Data Engineer role based in Kuala Lumpur. We are hiring Data Engineers to support a large-scale data migration and modernization project. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–4 years of experience who have hands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and are looking to grow in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using GCP services
• Support data migration, integration, and modernization across multiple data sources
• Perform data transformation, cleansing, and validation
• Work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and architects
• Work with large datasets to ensure data quality, governance, and performance
• Document processes and support deployment activities

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 1–4 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, etc.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts
• Experience in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala)
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline development
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and distributed data processing
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
