Job Description

The Group Finance Executive will be responsible for managing core finance functions across multiple companies within the group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and payment processes. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to coordinate across subsidiaries, and the discipline to maintain timely financial records that support effective decision-making.


Job Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of AP, AR, GL, and payment processes across multiple group companies.
  • Verify, process, and reconcile supplier invoices, staff claims, and vendor payments.
  • Monitor receivables, issue invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare payment runs, cash flow forecasts, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support consolidation and group-level reporting.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices in finance operations.

  

Major/Discipline

Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (with accounting/finance specialization)

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the major/discipline mentioned above or a combination of related experience and education
  • Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL, and payment cycles
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (ERP experience is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good working skills with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Good written and spoken Malay
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
