ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Consultant, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end technology implementation projects across ERP solutions, mobile applications, dashboards & analytics, AI, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

You will serve as the primary project manager for assigned client engagements, leading projects from initiation through post-implementation support. Working closely with clients, business users, technical teams, and solution consultants, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality.

This role is ideal for an experienced ERP Functional Consultant or Senior Business Analyst with approximately 3–5 years of experience who is ready to take the next step into consulting project management. While you will independently manage day-to-day project delivery, you will receive guidance and mentorship from the Managing Consultant on larger or more complex engagements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

• Manage end-to-end implementation projects from project initiation through planning, execution, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, resource schedules, and implementation activities.
• Coordinate internal consultants, developers, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
• Manage project scope, priorities, and deliverables while ensuring projects remain on schedule.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, status updates, and steering committee discussions where required.
• Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, deployment, and solution handover.
• Escalate significant project risks, commercial issues, or scope changes when appropriate.

Business Consulting

• Analyze client business processes and recommend practical technology solutions that improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct business process discovery sessions, requirements gathering workshops, and solution design discussions.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Support solution configuration, testing, deployment, and business process optimization.
• Recommend improvements and best practices throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Client & Stakeholder Management 

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned projects.
• Build strong and trusted relationships with clients through professional communication and reliable project delivery.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely communication of project progress, risks, and decisions.
• Present project updates, implementation plans, solution demonstrations and post-implementation evaluations to clients.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction throughout project delivery.

 Leadership & Team Collaboration

• Lead cross-functional project teams comprising business analysts, functional consultants, developers, and client representatives.
• Coordinate team activities to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and sound decision-making throughout project delivery.
• Coach and guide junior team members while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to improving project delivery methodologies, documentation standards, and internal best practices.

Technical Expertise & Innovation

• Develop expertise across ERP, Mobile Applications, Dashboards & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions where appropriate.
• Support pre-sales activities, product demonstrations, and solution workshops when required.

Job Requirements

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience in ERP implementation, IT consulting, or enterprise application projects.
• Proven experience participating in and managing at least 3 end-to-end ERP implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of ERP implementation methodologies and business processes.
• Demonstrated project management experience, including project planning, scheduling, issue management, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience conducting business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities through leading project teams, coordinating cross-functional resources, mentoring junior colleagues, or driving successful project outcomes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic consulting environment.

Good To Have

• Experience implementing Business Intelligence, dashboards, AI, RPA, or mobile application solutions.
• Exposure to SME business environments across various industries.
• Working proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and/or Chinese.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting business processes.
• Project management certification is an added advantage.
