🔍 We're Hiring: QA Engineer Intern @ Strix Lab

Strix Lab is a trading platform for real-world events — from politics to crypto and global markets. Built on Base chain, powered by a central-limit order book.

We're a small, fast-moving startup and we need someone sharp to help us ship a clean, reliable product.

📋 The Role

As our QA Engineer Intern, you'll be the person who finds what's broken before our users do. You'll test our trading platform end-to-end, document issues clearly, and create Trello tickets so our dev team can move fast and fix things right.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership — you won't be following a rigid script, you'll be actively hunting for bugs across our web app.

🛠 What You'll Do

•  Explore and test our platform — trading flows, order book, wallet funding, market resolution, and more
•  Write clear, detailed bug reports and create Trello tickets for the dev team
•  Retest fixes and confirm issues are fully resolved
•  Identify edge cases and usability issues that could impact traders
•  Work closely with our small dev team in a fast, async-friendly environment

✅ What We're Looking For

•  Some hands-on QA experience — doesn't have to be years, but you know what a good bug report looks like
•  Sharp eye for detail and a knack for breaking things in creative ways
•  Clear written communication (bug tickets that devs actually understand)
•  Self-starter who can work independently in a remote setup
•  Bonus: familiarity with crypto, trading platforms, or fintech products

Job Requirements

Technical Skills

• Testing concepts: Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing types (manual, functional, regression, and UI testing). 
• Tools & tracking: Familiarity with bug-tracking and project management tools like Atlassian Jira or TestRail. 
• Scripting/Coding: Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages (such as JavaScript, Python, or Java) and automated testing frameworks (like Selenium) is a strong advantage. 
• Web/API basics: Understanding of how web applications work, basic HTML/JS, and how APIs function (request and response cycles).

Soft Skills

• Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills in English to document bugs clearly and collaborate with developers.
• Analytical thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail when executing test cases.
• Attitude: A fast learner with a proactive, curious mindset and a willingness to go the extra mile.
