Description

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible to develop, plan and implement strategy to build and grow business partnerships with partner, retailer, merchants; collaborate with merchants to add create value to merchants and Sunway Super App users; and oversee overall operations of merchant management. 


Duties:

  • Formulate, plan and implement strategies to achieve business goals through partner/ merchant/ mini program acquisition.
  • Identify opportunities from new channels, segments, industries to drive new revenue growth under merchant acquiring portfolio.  
  • Develop, plan and implement strategic marketing collaboration with partners/ merchants to offer merchant solutions and services that would be able to add business value to partners/ merchants and Sunway Super App users.
  • Develop deep understanding and insight of merchants’ industries, customer segments and marketing strategies to build a longer term business partnering.
  • Develop and build relationships with merchants/ cashier to understand their needs and expectations; and design / implement merchant / cashier program to grow the outlet sales.
  • Develop, manage and optimize partner/ merchant communication strategy to ensure merchants’ needs are met and drive merchant engagement and retention.
  • Conduct market research, analysis and interpretation of market data to have merchant insight and trends as well as identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and establish analytics and metrics to understand overall merchant growth and retention across segments and to measure programme success.
  • Coach, develop and motivate team to achieve the organizational goals.
  • Lead on system enhancement or new project related to merchant acceptance.
  • Ensure appropriate merchant metrics are generated, data is accurate and reporting deadlines are met on a timely basis.
  • Tracking on Outstanding Payments of Merchant Accounts and ensure no/ min AR aging period.
  • Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:  

Degree in Marketing, Business or any related discipline


Minimum Length of Working Experience: 

5-8 years of related experience in merchant acquiring/ partnership industry for mobile app, loyalty and/or payment.
