We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Sanctions List Management Operations team. The team is responsible for collecting, structuring, cleansing, cross-referencing, and maintaining reference data for the publication of Sanctions lists. The data - primarily sourced from government and regulatory websites - must be thoroughly analyzed, reviewed, standardized, and validated before being published and distributed to our clients.
As part of a dynamic and customer-focused team, you'll contribute to continuously enhancing the client’s experience by proactively meeting and anticipating their needs. A strong team spirit, a customer-centric mindset, and a commitment to ongoing improvement are essential to thrive in this role. We're looking for a driven individual to help strengthen our Sanctions List Management Operations function.
The primary duties associated with this role include:
Monitor, validate, and enrich sanctions data to deliver a standardized version of the sanctions lists published via the SwiftRef platform
Support stakeholders in the onboarding of new sanctions lists
Drive continuous improvement and ensure proper implementation of change process
Onboard and customize data feeds, including mapping between various sanctions lists (e.g. US-OFAC, UN vs other lists)
Critically assess data from government and regulatory sources, identifying discrepancies and engaging with regulators when necessary
Cross-reference and structure data elements, maintaining high standards of accuracy and data quality under tight deadlines
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work effectively with complex data sets
Dynamic, motivated, flexible, and highly organized with a structured approach to tasks
Able to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively within a team
High attention to detail and accuracy when processing large volumes of data to ensure data quality standards are met
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
Self-driven with a proactive, can-do attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Customer-focused, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders
Customer focused and able to establish and maintain supportive interpersonal relationships with internal stakeholders
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is a prerequisite; proficiency in additional languages - particularly the ability to read Arabic, Japanese and/or Cyrillic - will be considered a strong asset
Experienced in using office automation tools and managing data entry and maintenance in databases
Familiarity with reference data processes is highly desirable
A solid understanding of sanctions screening and its application in the financial industry is considered an advantage
