Role Description
The Solutions Delivery Engineer is responsible for planning, configuring, implementing, testing and supporting technical solutions delivered to clients or internal stakeholders. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and according to technical and quality requirements. The role acts as the bridge between technical teams, vendors, clients and operations to ensure successful deployment and smooth handover of systems and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1) Solution Implementation & Delivery
- Implement, configure and deploy software, hardware or integrated technical solutions based on project requirements.
- Support end-to-end project delivery from requirement gathering through implementation, testing and post-go-live support.
- Ensure all solutions are delivered according to agreed timelines, scope and technical specifications.
- Coordinate installation, setup, migration and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project progress and escalate issues or delays promptly.
2) Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution during implementation and after deployment.
- Investigate system issues, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Support users and stakeholders during testing, training and go-live phases.
- Maintain system stability and ensure minimal downtime.
3) Client & Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients, vendors, internal users and project teams to understand business and technical requirements.
- Conduct meetings, site visits and technical discussions when required.
- Provide project updates, technical advice and status reports to stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.
4) Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including:
- Technical specifications
- Solution design documents
- Installation and configuration records
- User guides and SOPs
- Testing reports
- Project status reports
- Ensure all project records are updated and properly filed.
5) Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases.
- Conduct system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and performance testing.
- Verify that solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
- Ensure all defects and issues are documented and resolved before project closure.
6) Continuous Improvement
- Recommend process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and quality.
- Identify opportunities to automate or simplify implementation and support activities.
- Keep updated on new technologies, tools and industry best practices.
7) Key Duties
- Support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attend client sites when required.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Provide after-hours or weekend support during critical implementations if necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards and safety requirements.
