Job Description

1. Liaise with customers, consultants, engineers, inspection bodies and suppliers on matters relating to quality assurance and technical matters.
2. Conduct regular audit on mix designs at batching plant. Assist Plant Managers in conducting trial mixes.
3. Assigning mixes (products) that meet customer’s performance requirements and monitor the test results.
4. Coordinating with Plant Managers to conduct investigations on quality deficiencies.
5. Conduct site visits to ensure that quality of concrete supplied is within design parameters.
6. Possess good knowledge in raw material performance and ensuring tests on quality of all raw materials used in the manufacture of concrete are conducted and analysed to minimize failures.
7. Assist in coordinating all QA/QC operations in conjunction with QC staff to ensure that customers are satisfied with the level of service provided.
8. Coordinate with the Sales and Production Departments to ensure that customer complaints are professionally and efficiently resolved.
9. Control costs within the budget.
10. Monitor cube strength results (internal QC and external site results) and prepare statistical analysis reports.
11. Assist Plant Management to comply with all SOPs, relevant statutory and company requirements in relation to management of raw materials, environment (waste disposal, dust and noise) within the permissible level.
12. Promote an environment that creates ownership of health, safety and environment by employees and develop a safe working environment for staff.
13. Work with Superior(s) to assess and develop plant employees, monitor staff’s discipline, develop motivation by setting achievable targets, providing feedback, coaching and counselling on performance.
14. Conduct ISO audits for Production and QC Departments to ensure compliance with the quality management system requirements.
15. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

1) Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.

Skills:

1) Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the ready-mixed concrete industry. 

Interaction:

1) Internal: with all level of staff.

External: as required by the duties.
