Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To assist finance team members on matters related to the financial management functions, including billing and collection, cash flow and treasury management, responsible for processing vendor invoices with purchase order, assisting on statutory audit and tax, and assist in new projects appraisal analysis which may be assigned from time to time.

 

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounts Receivable (AR):
  1. Manage the AR process, ensuring timely collections and credit control.
  2. Monitor accounts for overdue payments, initiate collection efforts, and maintain an accurate aging report.
  3. Reconcile AR accounts and ensure all payments are accurately posted, addressing discrepancies as needed.
  4. Ensure compliance with accounting regulations when handling customer payments and financial transactions.
  • Accounts Payable (AP):
  1. Verify and process vendor invoices promptly, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
  2. Schedule and process timely vendor payments, adhering to payment terms and managing cash flow.
  3. Reconcile accounts payable regularly, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate records.
  4. Ensure payments comply with accounting and tax regulations, and assist with AP reporting.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:
  1. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, adherence to accounting principles, and proper documentation.
  2. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, provide documentation, and support audit activities.
  3. Assist and coordinate with external tax agents in answering tax queries.

 

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Qualification

Degree in Accounting or part professional accounting qualification.

 

Related Experience

Minimum one (1) year of related working experience
