Job Description:
The XR Executive will play a key role in supporting the implementation and development of extended reality (XR) initiatives at Taylor’s University and College. This entry-level role focuses on leveraging XR technologies to enhance digital learning experiences, foster innovation, and drive student engagement. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to deliver impactful XR projects and contribute to Taylor's digital transformation goals.
KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in identifying and implementing XR technologies and solutions to enhance educational delivery and student engagement.
• Facilitate the development and integration of immersive content—encompassing XR virtual production, and XR applications—into the curriculum in collaboration with academic teams.
• Coordinate with external partners, including XR vendors and industry experts, to facilitate workshops, demos, and pilot programs.
• Conduct research to identify trends and best practices in XR technologies for education, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Manage XR projects and module adoption, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
• Collect, analyze, and report on user feedback and data related to XR initiatives to continuously improve and scale solutions.
• Provide technical support and training to faculty and staff in using XR tools effectively for teaching and learning.
• Contribute to the promotion of XR projects through presentations, demonstrations, and events.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Management, Education Technology, Design, or a related field.
• Certifications in XR tools or multimedia software (preferred).
RELATED EXPERIENCE
• At least 1-2 years of experience in educational technology, multimedia content creation, or a related field. Fresh graduates with relevant project experience are encouraged to apply.
• Exposure to XR platforms and tools such as Unreal Engine, WebXR, or video editing software is an advantage.
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
Technical Skills
• Familiarity with XR tools such as Unity Engine, Unreal Engine, WebXR, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve) and basic 3D design tools (e.g., Blender, SketchUp).
• Knowledge of XR hardware, such as VR headsets (Oculus, HTC Vive) or AR glasses, is a plus.
