Job Description:

1. Research and development of robotics solutions based on research roadmap and project requirements
2. Responsible for robotics research, system development, algorithm development, prototyping, simulation and documentation in the areas of mobile robotics and Cobots
3. Collaborate with multiple agile teams to design, source, develop and implement robotics system and solutions including hardware, software and integration to IoT platforms
4. Support business and technical documentation in relation to proposals, procurement, testing and hardware certifications amongst others
5. For senior role, contribute technical advice as a subject matter expert on project teams and provide mentorship for junior team members

Requirements:

• Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or similar qualification of relevant working experience (minimum 5 years for Senior position)
• Proven experience in robotics solutions including AMRs and Cobots
• Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics and control theory
• Solid programming skills in relation to hardware firmware and software platform including Python, C++ and JavaScript
• Experience with embedded systems and OS environments such as ROS, Linux and Raspberry Pi
• Experience with 3D CAD software for robot design and simulation
• Awareness on IoT security best practices
• Familiarity IoT connectivity, 3D printing and image processing will be added advantage
• Passionate about learning and staying updated in emerging IR4.0 trends and technologies in relation to robotics and automation
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced R&D environment
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
