<ins>Environmental Initiatives</ins> Since 2021, our stores have ceased providing single-use plastic carrier bags to customers. As part of our mission to eliminate single-use plastic bags, we have raised awareness about the environmental impact of improperly disposed plastic bags through visuals and a campaign that rewards customers with Bites points each time they refuse a plastic carrier bag during their shopping trips. Through this initiative, TFP has prevented millions of single-use bags from entering society and the environment annually.
We have collaborated with an educational children’s book author to raise awareness about endangered Asian animal species and to cultivate nature loving children and instill in them universal values such as kindness and respecting nature and animals.
<ins>Community Engagement</ins> As an integral part of the community, we strive to contribute, and support underserved and vulnerable communities through various programs. We work closely with Air Selangor and Yayasan Food Bank in the ‘Box of Hope’ program, where in addition to collecting food donations from food cages, we also donate food boxes whenever possible during food distribution activities and participate in many other activities.
Through our loyalty program Bites, we have opened channels that allow members to donate their points directly to organizations supporting causes they wish to contribute to. These donation channels support initiatives such as providing school lunch meals for underprivileged children, supporting training centers for children with disabilities, providing meals for stray animals, funding dialysis treatments, chemotherapy sessions, stroke recovery therapy, or treatments for underprivileged patients.

Role Purpose

<li>Responsible to assist Store Manager for managing the department operations, with core focus on merchandising and operation of the store, including Customer and Supplier relations, as well as the sales performance of the department.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Additionally, the incumbent also will be assisting Store Manager in managing inventory management &amp; accuracy, shrinkage control, safety &amp; hygiene compliance, learning &amp; development and other related business matters.&nbsp;</li>

Main Accountabilities
<ul>
<li>To research, review and evaluate existing and new lines of products/brands in order to meet department needs.</li>
<li>Involve in sourcing, negotiating and decision making to select the appropriate vendors/suppliers based on price offered, quality of products, distribution costs and other factors.</li>
<li>To maintain good relationship with existing vendors/supplier and work closely with them to develop best promotions in order to boost sales in retail outlets hence achieve profit target set by the Company.</li>
<li>To communicate and work closely with Division Heads, Store Managers, Area Manager and other related parties during planning and purchasing process with existing and/or new vendors/suppliers on existing and/or new range of products.</li>
<li>To recognize and analyse consumer buying trends and future patterns.</li>
<li>To review level of current inventory and replenish accordingly.</li>
<li>To monitor daily sales and initiate promotional activities in order to maximise sales and GP</li>
<li>To initiate Best Practice of stock management in order to minimize out of stock (OOS), stock loss and ensure availability of stock at all time.</li>
<li>To ensure fast-moving goods are replenished within reasonable time frame while slow moving items are replenish-able on time.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>To maintain and control appropriate flow of stocks including to ensure good quality of products received in a timely manner.</li>
<li>To maintain and control all display products are available and in excellent quality (including expiry).&nbsp;</li>
<li>To maintain and control department cleanliness and always displays price tag at the correct products.</li>
<li>To manage and train staffs as necessary especially in fruits &amp; vegetables and displaying items.</li>
<li>To have knowledge in fruits &amp; vegetables hence able to make recommendations to customers to boost sales.</li>
<li>To perform any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Management from time to time.</li>
