Job Description

  

Payroll & Tax

  • To monitor timely and accuracy of monthly payroll processes.
  • To monitor the maintenance of payroll system accurately with staff data including taxable benefits and to ensure deductions are in compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Supervise payroll administration and take over payroll activity in the absence of the Payroll Executive.
  • Supervise and monitoring HR Executive (Payroll & Tax) on overall tax related matter.
  • Supervise and ensure expatriate teachers’ tax computations compliance with tax laws.

Training & Development

  • Responsible for HRD related matters.
  • Develop an orientation program for new employees.
  • Manage the functions of Training section to ensure that all training planned and conducted are as per requirements and regulations.
  • Source and organized internal training using HRD fund.
  • Review requirements due to regulatory and current events.
  • Maintain training records.

Employee Engagement

  • Establish, manage and execute employee engagement program/activities.
  • Plan, organize and execute Team Building on yearly/Bi-yearly basis.
  • Lead the development and execution of employee engagement programs and foster the company’s culture ensuring all initiatives/activities are promoted and delivered.
  • Assess programs, feedback, and involvement in considering creative ideas and needs.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the superior.

  

Employee Branding

  • Devising and implementing employer branding strategies to optimize a company’s presence and increase employer brand awareness to attract, engage, and hire most suitable candidates.

Insurance Management

  • Oversee employee insurance benefits, including health, life and disability policies.
  • Manage new member enrolments and ensure timely addition of employees and their dependents to be covered under group policies.
  • Update insurance record for exits, status changes, or other eligibility, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

Job Requirements

  

  • Diploma Holders preferably in Human Resource or Accounting or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in payroll processing and handling individual tax returns.
  • Familiar with Malaysian Personal Income Tax. 
  • Knowledge of computerized payroll system (i-Payroll / HR2000) is an added advantage.
  • Must be computer literate and good knowledge of Microsoft Words & Excel.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  •  High degree of professionalism and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  •  Reliable, task oriented, meticulous, detailed, well-organized and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
