Job Description

 We are looking for a Creative Writer to join our team at The Moving Image. In this role, you will help bring brand stories to life by developing concepts, writing scripts, and creating visual storyboards for commercials, digital campaigns, and social media videos. You will collaborate closely with the creative team, assist in pre-production planning, and contribute to the full production process from idea to screen.

1. Developing Commercial Ideas

• Brainstorm and contribute ideas for TV commercials, digital campaigns, and social media videos.  
• Participate in brand storytelling and creative concept development.  

2. Writing Scripts

• Assist in writing TV commercial, advertising, and branded content scripts.  
• Prepare voice-over scripts and learn to translate brand messages into compelling stories.  

3. Creating Storyboards

• Translate scripts into clear visual storyboards and break scenes into shot sequences.  
• Communicate visual direction and prepare storyboard presentations using PowerPoint.  

4. Supporting Pre-Production

• Assist in preparing call sheets, script breakdowns, and shot lists.  
• Support creative presentation decks and gain exposure to the workflow from concept to filming.  

Job Requirements

•  Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. 
• Basic knowledge of social media, digital marketing tools, and online trends. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay; other languages a plus. 
• Creative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. 
• Strong storytelling and writing skills with ability to visualize scenes and flow. 
• Organized in handling scripts, storyboards, and pre-production assets. 
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides). 
• Collaborative, able to work independently, and open to feedback.
