Job Description

The Nurts is a small and growing Malaysian brand creating educational products, events and experiences for children and families. This is a hands-on internship (minimum 3 to 6 months) based primarily in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya with a hybrid working arrangement. Interns will support Marketing, Partnerships and Business Development activities and may be given a primary focus (Marketing & Content, Partnerships & Events, or Business Development Support) while also getting opportunities to work across the wider business.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Marketing & Content: help plan, shoot and create social media content; capture photos and videos at events; assist with short-form content for Instagram, TikTok and other channels; support basic video editing, copywriting, captions and content preparation; organise content assets, files and calendars; research trends, creators, brands and content opportunities; assist with campaign execution and review content performance.
• Partnerships & Events: research potential partners (schools, brands, communities); prepare partnership proposals, decks and supporting materials; follow up on action items and partner coordination; support event preparation (run sheets, materials, registrations, logistics); assist with on-ground event execution; coordinate with vendors, partners and facilitators; capture event outcomes, feedback, photos and case-study material; maintain organised records and support post-event reporting.
• Business Development & Sales Support: research potential clients and commercial opportunities; identify relevant contacts for outreach; support preparation of proposals, quotations and pitch materials; maintain and update sales pipeline information; track follow-ups and meeting notes; conduct basic research on prospective clients; support outreach campaigns and partnership prospecting; help organise rate cards, case studies and sales materials; sit in on client/partner meetings as required.
• Day-to-Day Operations: prepare materials for meetings and events; pack and organise event resources; update trackers and shared documents; follow up on assigned actions; keep project information organised; support simple research and administrative tasks; coordinate between team members; assist during busy campaign or event periods.
• Plus Points (not required): comfortable using Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools or similar; experience shooting or editing short-form video; familiarity with TikTok and Instagram; experience organising events or student societies; strong writing skills; comfortable speaking to new people; experience with Google Sheets, Docs and Slides; interest in sales, partnerships or entrepreneurship; experience with photography or videography.
• Personal attributes: curious and willing to learn; clear communicator; proactive; follows through on commitments; organised; enjoys working with people; comfortable using social media and digital tools; able to work independently after context; receptive to feedback; positive and practical when plans change; cares about education, families, children, creativity or social impact.
• Engagement details: internship position with The Nurts Sdn Bhd; hybrid role with regular in-office and on-ground requirements; some weekend or after-hours event support may be required; minimum duration 3 to 6 months; internship allowance RM 600 per month.
