Job Description

We are an SME company seeking an experienced finance professional to join us as a Part-Time Financial Advisor under a flexible working arrangement.

This role is suitable for former CFOs, Finance Directors, Heads of Finance, or senior finance professionals who may be retired, semi-retired, or currently seeking part-time engagement opportunities.

We are not looking for a conventional accountant or operational finance personnel. Instead, we are seeking a strategic and experienced finance expert who is able to guide Management and support the growth and strengthening of our internal Finance function from both business and financial perspectives.

This role is based on strategic contribution, advisory involvement, and professional support provided to Management and the Finance team rather than fixed attendance or conventional working hours.

The advisor is expected to remain reasonably available for meetings, discussions, consultation sessions, calls, and financial guidance as required while maintaining a flexible working arrangement.

The ideal candidate should be able to translate corporate-level financial expertise into practical, scalable solutions that are suitable for SME growth and operational realities.

Scope of Role

  • Act as a strategic finance advisor to Management.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and professional insights to strengthen the internal Finance team and overall finance operations.
  •  Guide the Finance team in improving processes, reporting, controls, and financial discipline.
  •  Participate in meetings, discussions, calls, and consultation sessions with Management as required.
  •  Provide practical recommendations on financial planning, cash flow management, profitability, cost optimisation, taxation, financial governance, and business sustainability.
  •  Support Management in financial decision-making and business growth planning.
  •  Review and provide feedback on financial matters, reports, or analysis when necessary.
  •  Assist with financial review, validation, or analysis when required.
  •  Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant authorities where applicable.
