Job Descriptions

Job Responsibilities:

1)To ensure environmental, health and safety rules and guidelines are adhered to and maintain high safety standard and a safe working environment.
2)To carry out daily plant operation through Distributed Control System (DCS) according to the approved operating procedures and general instructions.
3)To monitor plant operating conditions and perform approved in-process adjustments either through DCS or within the plant facilities to ensure safe and efficient process operation.
4)To perform or assist in the start-up or shutdown of operation units or facilities according to the approved operating procedures and general instructions.
5)To record and compile operating data, instrument readings, documentation and results of laboratory analyses in logbooks and production log sheets.
6)To coordinate and ensure samples are collected and sent for lab testing as per requirement. In special circumstances additional sampling may be required.
7)To support plant trial runs or experiments to improve process, product quality, efficiency and productivity.
8)To identify, recommend, implement and monitor optimum operating setting in the processes to maximize quality and productivity of production. 
9)To assist in investigation and troubleshooting of daily production issues, and ensure any deviation or process abnormality is thoroughly investigated and actions to prevent recurrence are effectively implemented.
10)To control and synchronize other plant activities (such as raw material unloading, product loading, stock transfer from chemical warehouse, etc.) with person in charge of respective area to ensure smooth plant operation.
11)To perform regular inspection of plant facilities and monitor indicators to ensure that the systems are operating properly. To report to the Shift Engineers on duty and take necessary actions to correct the malfunctions or abnormalities.
12)To respond to emergency situations by taking necessary shutdown or process adjustment actions to restore normal operating conditions.
13)To work closely with maintenance team for the coordination and execution of any maintenance and shutdown activities.
14)To issue or control issuance of Work Permits (PTW) and Work Orders to M&E team or contractors thus ensuring safe execution of their works in plant area.
15)To provide concise and accurate information to Engineers or Management in the decision-making process.
