If you care about performance cars and precise workmanship, working with us at TOYCARZ SDN BHD means joining a specialist workshop focused on Lotus Elise, Exige, Evora and Emira plus other high-performance sports cars. We combine manufacturer-standard servicing with the careful attention these enthusiast vehicles require.

As a Junior-level Automotive Technician you will learn and build our capability to prepare, maintain and tune mid-engine and lightweight sports cars, covering ECU diagnostics, electrical repairs, advanced suspension setup, clutch work and complex mechanical jobs. You will support engine overhauls and structural repairs while developing hands-on expertise alongside senior staff.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities 

Vehicle Servicing & Mechanical Repairs

• You will perform routine servicing and mechanical repairs on high-performance and sports cars, primarily Lotus models such as Elise, Exige, Evora, and Emira.
• You will service brakes, perform advanced suspension tuning, replace clutches, and maintain mid-engine layouts to manufacturer standards. 

Diagnostics & Electrical Systems

• You will use advanced diagnostic scanners and software to identify ECU errors and electrical faults and carry out required electrical repairs.
• You will perform component testing and systematic troubleshooting to restore reliable vehicle operation. 

Workshop Support & Complex Repairs

• You will assist the Senior Mechanic with engine overhauls and complex structural repairs, following workshop procedures and quality checks.
• You will keep clear job records and handle high-value enthusiast cars with care throughout repair and handover. 

Requirements 

Qualifications & Experience

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a car workshop, preferably on performance or sports cars.
• Experience with Toyota performance powertrains (2ZZ, 2GR), or European sports cars is highly preferred.
• Automotive certification such as SKM Level 2 or Level 3 is a strong advantage. 

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Solid knowledge of sports car mechanical systems, lightweight chassis components, and composite body panels.
• Able to read and use basic English for diagnostic software and technical manuals, and to communicate effectively in Malay or English.

• Responsible and highly detail-oriented, with care for high-value enthusiast vehicles.
• Good problem-solving, disciplined work habits, and the ability to collaborate with senior mechanics.

Skills
