As a builder for our in-store creative line, you will craft floral arrangements, grow our selection of handcraft items, and help shape the visual look of the shop so customers keep coming back.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Store Floor & Customer Experience

• Welcome customers, advise on gift and floral choices, and provide friendly recommendations based on occasion and budget.
• Create quick, attractive ready-made bouquets and bespoke arrangements on request.
• Process sales at the POS and handle cash or card payments accurately.
• Maintain tidy displays and keep the shop presentable during opening hours.

Product Creation & Visual Merchandising

• Design and handcraft a variety of floral pieces and small gift items using fresh flowers and craft materials.
• Plan and refresh window and counter displays for seasonal promotions and new arrivals.
• Label products with clear pricing and care instructions to help customers purchase confidently.
• Prototype new small-batch gift ideas and assist in testing customer response.

Operations & Inventory

• Receive deliveries, inspect materials, and store supplies to minimise waste and keep quality consistent.
• Track stock levels for flowers, ribbons, and craft supplies and alert management when restocking is needed.
• Assist with basic cleaning, flower conditioning, and area safety to preserve product quality.
• Support simple daily paperwork such as sales logs, stock counts, and cash reconciliation.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a retail gift shop, florist, or handcraft role with direct customer service exposure.
• Basic sales experience using a POS system and handling cash or electronic payments.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in floristry or crafts is a plus but not required.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Practical floral arrangement skills including trimming, conditioning, and wrapping fresh flowers.
• Visual merchandising sense to create appealing in-store displays and product groupings.
• Inventory tracking, basic stock ordering, and simple stock rotation to reduce waste.
• Comfortable using a tablet or POS terminal for sales, and basic record keeping for daily sales and stock.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Friendly communicator who listens to customer needs and makes clear, helpful suggestions.
• Detail-oriented and neat, with pride in tidy displays and consistent product quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work retail shifts including weekends.
• Creative mindset with willingness to try small design experiments and accept feedback.
