As a Product Data Management Intern you will build scalable data templates, mappings and simple automation to keep our product catalogue accurate and appealing. You will work hands-on with PIM tools, spreadsheets, marketplace feeds and our CMS to prepare listings that publish faster and read better. Success means fewer listing errors, faster publish times and measurable lifts in discoverability and conversion.

Your Growth & Impact

• Build hands-on experience with PIM, CMS and marketplace platforms by managing real product feeds and content updates. Learn how templates and mappings control data flow across channels.
• Improve technical skills in Excel, Google Sheets and basic SQL through daily imports, data cleaning and validation tasks. Practice formulas like VLOOKUP and INDEX matching and simple query checks to validate fixes.
• Gain practical exposure to image handling, tagging and version control so you can own the full listing lifecycle. Help set up naming conventions and image versions to keep listings consistent.
• Expand your cross-functional network by working directly with buying, marketing and operations on prioritised fixes and small projects. Present short listing health reports and suggestions to stakeholders.
• Elevate your portfolio with documented SOPs and measurable changes that demonstrate impact. Use these deliverables to position yourself for future roles in e-commerce or product operations.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Data Curation & Quality

• Keep the product master current by correcting titles, SKUs, categories and attribute sets so listings are accurate and consistent.
• Standardise naming and taxonomy across the catalogue to reduce errors and improve search relevance.
• Enrich descriptions and metadata to make products easier for customers to find and understand.
• Perform regular quality checks on new and updated listings and resolve inconsistencies quickly.

Systems & Tools

• Use our PIM, CMS and spreadsheets to import, export and map product data so listings publish faster.
• Create and maintain templates and simple automations to cut manual work and speed up updates.
• Run basic SQL checks and spreadsheet formulas like VLOOKUP or INDEX to validate data joins and fixes.
• Manage image assets, tagging and version control to keep visuals consistent across channels.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Work with buying, marketing and operations to gather missing product details and prioritise fixes.
• Produce short listing health reports that highlight common errors and clear next steps.
• Document repeatable processes and contribute practical SOPs for the team to follow.
• Support ad hoc requests during peak periods to help the team meet publishing deadlines.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, Marketing or a related field.
• No formal work experience required; previous internship or project work with product data is a plus.
• You are available to work during office hours and can commit to the internship period as agreed with the team.
• Comfortable working in a practical, close-knit environment and open to regular feedback and guidance.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets for sorting, VLOOKUP or INDEX matching, and basic formulas.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Shopee or Lazada is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic understanding of PIM and CMS workflows and simple SQL queries will help you validate data changes.
• Experience handling image files, tagging and version control for listings is advantageous.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to repetitive tasks so data remains reliable.
• Clear written and verbal communication to liaise effectively with buying, marketing and operations.
