Job Description

The Presales IT Specialist role is primarily focused on understanding and delivering IT solutions that meet both technical and business requirements for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Industry Knowledge:
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the IT sector.
• Customer Engagement:
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, understanding their business challenges and objectives.
• Collaborate with the Sales and System Support teams to analyze customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Proposal Development:
• Manage multiple customer profiles, preparing and reviewing proposals.
• Create technical documentation for follow-up actions by other departments.
• Collaboration & Education:
• Regularly work with internal and external teams to enhance the quality of solution proposals.
• Educate stakeholders on best practices and solution effectiveness.
• Solution Demonstration:
• Conduct technical solution demonstrations to customers, showcasing the value and capabilities of proposed solutions.
• Ad Hoc Tasks:
• Take on additional projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

•  Education & Experience:
• A diploma or degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a pre-sales or technical role within the IT industry.
• Technical Expertise:
• Familiarity with a wide range of IT products and services, including IT infrastructure, networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and POS systems.
• Experience in systems engineering or technical consulting, with knowledge of SQL being advantageous.
• Presentation Skills:
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills.
• Ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Independent Work Style:
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Language Proficiency:
• Good command of both written and spoken English, Chinese and Malay.
