About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Cloud Engineer to join our technical delivery team. In this role, you will be primarily deployed directly at our client’s site in Kuala Lumpur (KL City) to lead, build, and support their cloud infrastructure initiatives.

You will serve as the hands-on technical liaison between our engineering organization and the client, designing resilient architectures, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and ensuring seamless day-to-day cloud operations. Key Responsibilities

• On-Site Client Deployment: Work directly at the client’s designated location in KL City Centre to execute cloud infrastructure projects, deliver system integration, and manage technical client requirements.
• Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning: Design, deploy, and maintain secure, highly available cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) aligned with client security and operational policies.
• Automation & IaC: Write and manage clean Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep to automate provisioning and minimize manual configuration.
• Security & Governance: Implement enterprise security controls on-site, including IAM policy management, network security groups, encryption standards, and local regulatory compliance rules.
• Operations & Troubleshooting: Perform real-time technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis (RCA), and operational support directly within the client environment.
• Client Engagement: Communicate technical progress, document architecture setups, and provide technical advisory to local stakeholder teams.

Job Requirements

• Mobility & Commitment: Willingness and ability to work full-time on-site at customer locations within KL City.
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on working experience directly deploying, configuring, and supporting commercial cloud infrastructure.
• Cloud Platforms: Solid practical knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proven proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or Ansible.
• Networking & Security: Strong grasp of cloud networking (VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, VPNs, Load Balancers, Firewalls) and identity management (IAM/RBAC).
• Scripting & Tooling: Proficient in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for deployment and automation tasks.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for collaborating smoothly with enterprise client teams.

Preferred Qualifications / Added Advantages

• Certifications: Active Associate or Professional cloud certification is a strong advantage (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect / SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect, or GCP Associate Cloud Engineer).
• Prior experience working in IT consulting, system integration, or customer-facing technical roles.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
