Job Description

  

  • Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities include preparation of month-end schedules (Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Fixed Assets, Inter-company reconciliations, bank reconciliations, etc.)
  • Review the monthly Product PL reporting and assist and support in preparing analysis for major expenses, management accounts, and yearly budget preparation
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and other financial reports required by Management
  • Responsible for the processing of staff claims and vendor payments in an accurate and timely manner
  • Liaise with various stakeholders on operational accounting issues, financial accounts, regulatory filings and other matters where necessary
  • Liaise with auditors on annual audit of financial statements of the Group
  • Liaise with banks on facilities and other banking matters
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and presentation of financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and relevant statutory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements
  • Assist in the design and execution of Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”) to enhance the efficiency of finance processes
  • Assist in co-ordination with external auditor, corporate secretary, landlords, lawyers, tax agent, DDWG and other consultants as and when necessary
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and corporate actions as and when necessary

Job Requirements

  

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is required; holding a professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or MIA would be highly regarded.
  • At least 6 - 8 years of relevant experience within finance roles is essential, including a minimum of 3 years working experience in public listed companies
  • Experience in preparing for an IPO will be advantage
  • Comprehensive understanding of Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, statutory reporting requirements and audit processes is necessary for success in this position
  • Proficiency using ERP systems alongside advanced Excel capabilities allows you to analyse data efficiently while supporting digital transformation efforts within finance
  • Hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail ensures high standards are maintained even when handling complex tasks or tight deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work independently, effectively both as an individual and team
