As a Senior Auto Detailing technician you will be the builder of our craft standards. You will develop repeatable processes, introduce advanced finishes, and help scale hands-on detailing quality across our bays and teams.

Your Growth & Impact

• Build advanced detailing skills by leading complex paint correction and protection jobs and mentoring juniors.
• Expand your technical toolkit through regular work with ceramic coatings, PPF, and machine polishing equipment.
• Develop customer-facing confidence by advising clients on care plans and follow-up maintenance.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Project Management

• Plan and schedule detailing jobs to meet promised delivery times while keeping quality consistent.
• Coordinate with service advisors to confirm customer requirements and update job progress clearly.
• Manage job paperwork and record product usage so bays run efficiently and stock is traceable.

Technical Craftsmanship

• Perform paint correction, wet sanding, polishing, and finishing using DA polishers and professional compounds.
• Apply ceramic coatings and assist with paint protection film installation following manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect surfaces for defects and document before-and-after conditions to maintain quality records.
• Use steam cleaning, clay bar, and surface prep techniques to ensure coating adhesion and lasting results.

Customer & Shop Operations

• Deliver clear handovers to customers and explain post-detail care in simple terms.
• Coach junior detailers with hands-on demonstrations and regular feedback sessions.
• Keep work areas clean, follow safety procedures, and handle chemicals and equipment responsibly.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on auto detailing experience, ideally with exposure to premium finishes.
• Proven track record with paint correction and multi-step polishing on various vehicle types.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior technicians in a workshop setting.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Skilled with DA polishers, backing plates, pads, and professional compounds from reputable brands.
• Practical knowledge of ceramic coating application, paint protection film basics, and surface preparation.
• Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and document defects using photos and notes.
• Familiarity with shop safety, chemical handling, and basic tool maintenance.
