Job Description

Description of position

The Key Account Manager – Industry is responsible and accountable for managing and growing direct Industrial Key Account customers in Malaysia. The role drives strategic partnerships with medium to large food manufacturers ensuring sustainable volume growth, margin optimization, and portfolio penetration.

 

Responsibilities

Ø Manage and grow assigned Industrial Key Accounts in KL and nationwide (if required)

Ø Drive sales of industrial margarine, lamination fats, UHT non-dairy cream, compound & chocolate products

Ø Develop strategic account plans to increase SKU penetration (cross-selling fats + UHT + chocolate solutions)

Ø Work closely with customers’ R&D and production teams on product trials, reformulations, and cost optimization projects

Ø Identify substitution opportunities (switching competitors’ fats/cream/chocolate to Unigrà solutions)

Ø Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, contracts, annual agreements, rebates, and credit terms

Ø Prepare quotations, manage tenders, and ensure margin control in line with company targets

Ø Monitor raw material market trends (palm oil, cocoa, dairy substitutes) and align pricing strategy accordingly

Ø Collaborate with Technical, QA, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure smooth supply and customer satisfaction

Ø Forecast sales volume accurately and monitor demand planning with customers

Ø Manage account receivables, credit limits, and ensure healthy collections

Ø Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (volume & GP)


Job Requirements

Education requirement

Candidate must possess at least bachelor’s degree or Diploma in any relevant field.

Work / year experience requirement

Possesses minimum 5 – 8 years of working experience and proven record managing directly food industry customer in Malaysia.

 

Age

28 to 45.

 

Language Knowledge

English and local language (Chinese, Cantonese, Bahasa)

 

PC Knowledge

Microsoft Office & Excel Medium level
