About the Department

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group’s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.

Job Responsibilities

  • Formulating and maintaining appropriate Operational Risk Management (ORM) related frameworks, policies and guidelines.
  • Responsible for Incident Management, Third Party Risk Management (i.e. both outsourcing (OS) and third-party non-outsourcing (TPNO)) and Insurance Program.
    • Incident Management - to oversee and support Business & Support Units (BSUs) as incident owners to report operational risk incidents, as appropriate.
    • Third Party Risk Management (i.e. OS and TPNO) - to oversee and perform the outsourcing due diligence (for outsourcing arrangements) and third-party risk assessment (TPRA) for TPNO.
    • Insurance Program - to prepare for insurance coverage, claims and budget, and to put up memos to get necessary approvals.
  • Perform secretariat function for relevant committees i.e. Operational Risk Management Committee, Product Program Committee, Crisis Management Team and any other relevant teams/committees as assigned by ORM Head. To prepare of minutes of meeting where appropriate.
  • Conduct annual Scenario Analysis exercise.
  • Support in ORM programs i.e. Key Risk & Control Self-Assessment (KRCSA), Key Operational Risk Indicator (KORI), Incident Reporting, Product Program, etc.

Job Requirements

  • Possess of 4-6 years working experience in operational risk management.
  • Conversant with the relevant regulatory requirements especially Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and to a certain extent, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
  • Possess adequate analytical skills on qualitative and quantitative measures on inherent risks and able to provide recommendation for risk treatment and mitigation.
  • Adequately familiar with all ORM programs/methodologies i.e. KRCSA, KORI, Incident Reporting, Product Program and Call Tree exercise.
  • Operationalization of ORM methodologies is key.
