About the Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to be part of the pioneer team spearheading the development and delivery of the new services.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of Retail Investment Operations Centre (RIOC) supporting and processing of customer instructions relating to Fixed Deposits, Maxiyield, Structured Deposits, Cashiers' Orders and Demand Drafts.

 

•    Lead the RIOC team
•    Lead and be responsible for day-to-day operations to ensure SLAs and all deliverables are met
•    Check and approve customer instructions for various products such as Fixed Deposits, Maxiyield, Structured Deposits, Remittances, Cashiers' Orders and Demand Drafts
•    Plan and manage the operational activities and ensure optimal staffing levels within the team to achieve a high level of efficiency and productivity
•    Ensure training and cross-training plans are in place
•    Troubleshoot and ensure exceptions handling are closely monitored and followed up by the team.  To provide guidance for complex cases and exceptions where required
•    Ensure team adheres to SOPs and ensure compliant with applicable Regulations and Bank Policies
•    Monitors and ensures queries are replied within agreed time frames with timely escalation of potential issues/complaints
•    Ensure reconciliation is performed and resolves discrepancies.  Report discrepancies that exceed agreed timeline
•    Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to improve productivity and mitigate risks
•    Collation of data and MIS reporting

Job Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree
•    Minimum 5 years of banking operations experience
•    Knowledge of Fixed Deposits, Structured Deposits Products and Remittances
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Strong leadership and people management skills
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Good communication and presentation skills
•    Motivated, driven, can work under pressure and able to complete task given within the given timeline
•    Have a strong organization belonging, team player and willing to share knowledge
•    Positive attitude, willingness to learn and motivated to find solutions to the problem
•    Robust risk and control experience and management
•    Ability to work under pressure and deliver required results
