About the Department

The Audit function is an independent internal audit team that provides objective assurance and consulting to improve and add value to the Group’s operations. We help the Group achieve its strategic objectives by adopting a systematic and disciplined approach towards evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Job Responsibilities

UOB Malaysia Internal Audit is looking to hire a Technology Auditor who has between 5-10 years of experience in roles and responsibilities as below.  We prefer candidates with drive to look beyond the beaten path of the usual findings on access controls administration, well-examined areas of process compliance, and the likes. We run a fully equipped Innovation & Technology Lab to develop new audit capabilities. Our Lab enables our auditors’ research and testing into systems and network vulnerability analysis, cyber-research and intelligence gathering towards developing useful and actionable audit insights into business risks. Our Technology Audit team are all Data Analytics (DA) capable and we look for people who appreciate trending analysis and with a keen mind to investigate data from different perspectives to surface anomalies and such.

Roles & Responsibilities
•    Work in audit teams to deliver risk-based audit projects in accordance with the established scope, approach and methodology to achieve desired audit objectives.
•    Develop Data Analytics for audit projects by using digitally enhanced audit methodology and tools.
•    Engage business stakeholders to provide risk controls advisory services.

Job Requirements

Pre-requisites

  • Technology and data savvy, have strong aptitude and interest to learn and use data analytics and visualization tools
  • Highly adaptable to changes, and able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadline
  • Good time and project management
  • Good interpersonal skills, and a team player

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Technology or equivalent. 
  • Experience in technology risk will be advantageous.
  • Accredited with certifications like CISA, CISSP or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Presents oneself confidently and professionally.
  • Those with less than 5 years of working experience can be considered if they meet our criteria of someone who possess drive, investigative and cogent.
