Job Description
What you’ll own (day-to-day accountability)
- Production coordination: ensure materials, specs, samples, and production steps are aligned and feasible
- Supplier execution: compare quotes, manage lead times, follow up, and escalate issues early
- Project tracking: maintain timelines, trackers, and status updates across suppliers and internal team
- Quality checks: run QC gates (incoming / in-process / final) and report issues clearly
Key responsibilities
- Production support (design → build)
- Help translate design intent into workable specs: dimensions, fit, structure, insert fit, protection
- Flag risks early (alignment, scratches, finishing quality, closure feel)
- Coordinate samples and revisions with suppliers; track changes clearly
- Sourcing / procurement & cost control
- Collect and compare quotations; support BOM and cost breakdowns
- Negotiate basic terms with suppliers (price, lead time, packaging method)
- Recommend best value based on quality, reliability, and timeline — not price alone
- Project & timeline management
- Build and maintain project trackers (sample log, vendor tracker, delivery timeline)
- Chase dependencies and confirmations (materials in, sample out, revisions, production start)
- Escalate early when risks appear; propose practical options (split delivery, batching, parallel steps)
- QC discipline (premium standard)
- Follow clear QC checklist for each project (finish, alignment, cleanliness, scratches, defects)
- Document issues with photos, counts, and action required
- Support root-cause follow-up with suppliers to prevent repeat defects
What success looks like
- Samples and production move with fewer last-minute surprises
- Suppliers are followed up tightly; lead times and deliveries are controlled
- Quality issues are caught early and handled with clear documentation
- Projects deliver on time with consistent premium finishing
Job Requirements
Must-haves
- 2–4 years experience in production / packaging / fabrication / gifting / VM production / printing / event management (any relevant)
- Comfortable working with suppliers: quoting, lead times, follow-ups, issue resolution
- Strong tracking discipline: timelines, spreadsheets, sample logs, QC checklists
- Quality-minded and detail-oriented (premium finishing sensitivity)
- Mandarin proficiency
Nice-to-have
- Experience with rigid boxes, printing/finishes, wood/acrylic, textiles/felt
- Experience coordinating assembly / kitting / packing workflows
