Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and people-oriented Assistant HR Manager to support our HR department in overseeing daily operations and long-term talent strategies. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between management and our frontline teams, ensuring our workplace remains productive, compliant, and engaging.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in high-energy environments. Experience in the F&B or Hospitality industry will be considered a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, with a focus on high-volume hiring for outlet staff (service and kitchen).
  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for staff grievances, disciplinary issues, and performance management, ensuring fair treatment across all outlets.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Supervise the monthly payroll process and ensure accurate administration of staff benefits, insurance, and statutory contributions (EPF/SOCIO/EIS/PCB).
  • Compliance: Ensure all HR practices align with the latest Employment Act and local labor regulations. Oversee the application and renewal of work permits for foreign manpower.
  • Training & Development: Identify skill gaps within the F&B team and coordinate relevant training programs (Food Safety, Customer Service, Leadership).
  • Policy Implementation: Developing and implementing SOPs and employee handbooks to improve operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  •  Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years of HR experience. Prior experience in the F&B or Retail sector is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of local labor laws and industrial relations.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
    • Ability to multitask and handle the "on-the-go" nature of F&B operations.
  • Attributes: High integrity, approachable personality, and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
