Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Baker to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for someone with a basic foundation in pastry arts who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the creation of high-quality desserts and baked goods. You will assist in the preparation and presentation of pastries, cakes, and other baked products while maintaining hygiene and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of a variety of pastries, breads, cakes, cookies, and desserts
• Support the Head Pastry Chef in daily production and mise en place
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards accurately
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory rotation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station at all times
• Ensure all food items are stored and handled safely according to food safety standards
• Assist in decorating cakes and pastries creatively and consistently
• Keep up to date with new trends in baking and pastry techniques
• Work as part of a team and support colleagues during busy periods

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Baking or Pastry (or equivalent experience)
• Able to speak in English
• Fresh graduate are welcome to apply
• 1–2 years of experience in a bakery, hotel, café, or similar environment (fresh grads with internship experience are encouraged to apply)
• Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and passion for baking
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to kitchen standards
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Familiarity with food hygiene and kitchen safety practices
