• Build hands-on experience repairing and configuring laptops, desktops, printers, NAS, and basic server equipment across onsite client visits.
• Expand your troubleshooting toolkit across Microsoft Windows and Mac OS environments, plus remote support tools used by small businesses.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide first and second line support for end user devices both onsite and remotely across Microsoft Windows and Mac OS using common remote support tools.
• Diagnose and repair hardware faults on laptops, desktops, printers and NAS, including component replacement and preventive checks.
• Troubleshoot network problems, configure routers and switches, and coordinate with ISPs to restore connectivity.

Infrastructure & Maintenance

• Install and maintain basic servers, printers, NAS and peripheral equipment, and apply updates and patches on a regular schedule.
• Manage backups and monitor basic network health to reduce downtime through routine maintenance.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Keep clear service logs and an accurate asset inventory, and produce concise troubleshooting guides for users.
• Work with colleagues to plan small IT improvements and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
• Represent VERITON PLT during onsite visits, communicating status clearly to clients and internal teams.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on IT support experience in a professional services or small business environment.
• Diploma or certificate in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience preferred.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Proven experience administering Microsoft Windows and Mac OS environments.
• Strong hardware and network troubleshooting skills, including component-level repairs and remote diagnostics.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts, router and switch configuration, backup management, and common remote support tools.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Patient, customer-focused and organised, with the ability to manage multiple support requests.
