About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing team. This key role in Versa, will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect Versa’s users' data and company's assets. This is a critical role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for Versa’s users & maintaining the trust that is fundamental to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of security strategies, architectures, and solutions to secure our cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud) and mobile application.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Implement and manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively implement measures to mitigate risks.
• Provide security awareness training and education to employees.

Job Requirements

Who we are looking for:

• Candidates with:
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience in securing mobile applications (iOS and Android)
• Expertise in security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners & good knowledge of security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and OWASP
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to staying ahead of the curve
