Job Description

The Video Editor Intern supports Vertex Mastery’s Creative Department in producing high-quality visual content that captures the essence of our transformational programs and brand identity. This internship offers hands-on experience in video editing, storytelling, and digital content production for events, coaching sessions, and marketing campaigns.

You will work closely with the Creative Director and Marketing Team to edit, format, and deliver videos that align with the company’s vision and message. The internship also serves as a developmental opportunity to learn creative workflow management, brand storytelling, and professional editing techniques.

Job Requirements

1. Video Editing & Post-Production

• Edit raw footage from events, workshops, and coaching sessions into polished, branded videos.
• Create highlight reels, teasers, and social media clips optimized for different platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
• Add captions, transitions, overlays, and basic animations to enhance storytelling.
• Ensure all outputs meet technical and brand quality standards for sound, color, and pacing.

2. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with marketing and content teams to align creative output with campaign goals.
• Participate in weekly creative meetings to discuss ideas, updates, and feedback.
• Implement revisions from supervisors promptly and maintain open communication on project progress.
   

3. Content Organization & Asset Management

• Manage video file storage, organization, and backups within the company’s designated Lark Drive system.
• Maintain a proper folder structure and labeling system for easy future reference.
• Assist in sourcing and organizing background music, sound effects, and stock footage when needed.
   

4. Creative Contribution

• Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions to support new campaign or content initiatives.
• Research and apply emerging video trends and editing techniques that can enhance audience engagement.
• Participate in the pre-production or filming setup when required (e.g., helping adjust camera angles or lights).
   

5. Technical Support

• Support video shoots, interviews, or event recordings by assisting with camera setup, lighting, or sound.
• Perform quality checks before exporting and ensure final outputs meet publishing standards.
• Troubleshoot minor editing or file conversion issues.
