The Product Manager reports to the Product General Manager and oversees the end-to-end management of specific ambits of CTOS’ strategic product suite, as determined by the Product General Manager.
This Product Manager is responsible in assisting the Product Geneal Manager to develop and manage the full product lifecycle of the commercial/corporate product suite, which includes: developing product enhancements by identifying potential requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, and time-integrated plans for product introduction.
The Product Manager ensures that product development phases are executed smoothly from conceptual stage through to deployment, as well as on-going product management activities such as driving adoption, feedback gathering and continuous version enhancements (cradle to grave concept).
The Product Manager will also act as the main coordinator and liaison with existing / potential customers for all technical related activities and is expected to work very closely with departments such as Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Data Analytics, IT and Finance.
Manage product lifecycle performance
Recommends the nature and scope of present and future enhancements by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or feature set changes for all related solutions to the risk and decisioning management solutions.
· Assist in bringing new product enhancements to market and introducing new enhancements by analysing customer / market needs and proposed feature sets, defining business requirements and product development programs; establishing time schedules with development and IT teams.
· Product-centric Objectives, maintain a breadth and depth of knowledge on the functional and technical elements (API) of the product, able to prepare product documentation
· Hands-on participation in product development project teams by:-
- Translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Ensuring all relevant non-functional requirements have been identified and specified.
- Ensuring documentation of the architecture, design, components and unit-tests is satisfactory.
Removing impediments to deliver product goals
• To maintain a product backlog in a way that ensures the needed work is well understood so the team can continually make forward progress
• Coaching the stakeholders, within the agile principles, in order to deliver high-quality features for its product
• Promoting self-organisation within the team and facilitating team events to ensure regular progress
• Educating key stakeholders in the product on agile principles
• Coaching the development team in self-organization and cross-functionality
Collaboration & people development
• Facilitate product planning, demo and retrospective meetings
• Main liaison between General Manager and technical stakeholders on the ongoing development and enhancements of key product
• Requires significant collaboration with numerous departments across the business, specifically with Sales, Marketing, Data Analytics, Customer Service, IT and Finance
• Actively involved in technical discussions with IT and vendors such as database design, performance optimisation, technical flow chart and API requirements
