Job Description

  • To prepare and implement Safety/Emergency guidelines, including liaising with Emergency, Medical and Rescue Services to ensure that proper procedures are in place and safety equipment are set up as required.
  • To work closely with all Department Heads and Senior Management on implementing company policies and procedures.
  • To liaise closely with all Enforcement Agencies to ensure compliance that all relevant Government Regulations and Acts are adhered to.
  • To administer and review Security Department CAPEX and OPEX to ensure proper tracking of annual budget allocation.
  • To anticipate and ensure preventive and pro-active actions been taken so that to prevent crime in the building.
  • To develop, document and enforce security policies to ensure a safe environment for visitors, customers and staffs.
  • To develop and implement training sessions/schedules for Security staff and guards.
  • To supervise training of the guards so that to achieve the competency level require by the Management.
  • To ensure that static & patrolling guards are properly trained so that to prevent crime in the centre.
  • To initiate and promote activities to create information on security awareness within the organization.
  • To monitor and supervise the attendance and work performance of Security Executive, Supervisors, Safety Coordinator and Outsource Security contractor.
  • To ensure Security Systems and assets (eg. CCTV, DVR and others equipment especially in the Control Room) are in good operational order and well maintained.
  • To improve on the security systems so that to maximize its usage in crime prevention.
  • To secure and safeguard company properties and assets.
  • To ensure that all fire-fighting equipment is in good working condition.
  • To secure and ensure that there are routines in place to prevent fire in all areas of the centre so that all co-workers know what to do in the event of emergency especially fire starting in any area of the centre including evacuation.
  • To ensure that the centre is ready to receive visitors, customers and properly secured after operation hours especially on the security and safety aspect.
  • Reporting all serious faults especially system breakdown to the Centre Manager immediately.
  • To provide preliminary accident/incident report within 24 hours and follow-up with a detail report.
  • To conduct periodic audits as per safety checklist and report to Management accordingly.
  • Act upon all customers comments/complaints in a prompt and friendly manner.
  • Always stay alert and beware of suspicious visitors in the centre especially pickpockets, snatch thieves and so on.
  • To work closely with the maintenance, housekeeping and car park team especially on leaking issues, power failure, emergency and so on.
  • To assist the car park team in directing traffic at the car park especially during peak seasons.
  • To be innovative, flexible and committed so that to always look into the improvement of security and safety in the centre.
  • To provide prompt and ready back up during emergency especially at night.
  • To liaise with our pest control contractor to ensure their routines are carried out on schedule and effectively to ensure a pest-free environment in and around the centre.
  • Take up additional assignment given by the management from time to time.
  • To work closely with other stakeholders (i.e MAHB, JPJ, PDRM and other authorities).
