Job Description

Accounting Operations & Reporting

• Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting activities for all group companies.
• Handle and review full sets of accounts prepared internally and by external accountants.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports, and schedules.
• Perform month-end closing, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

Property & Investment Holding Companies

• Oversee accounting for property-holding investment companies, including:
  
• Rental income and related expenses
• Property maintenance and operating costs
• Loan interest, financing costs, and bank facilities
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and valuers when required

Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise and guide 2 Accounts Administrators
  
• Act as the main contact point for:
• External accountants
• Auditors
• Tax agents
• Company secretaries
• Banks
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing schedules

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with MFRS, Companies Act 2016, and LHDN requirements
• Track audit timelines, tax submissions, and statutory filings
• Prepare simple, clear management reports for directors
• Support budgeting and cash flow planning

Stakeholder Liaison & Ad-hoc Duties

• Liaise with bankers, vendors, consultants, and other external parties.
• Assist in ad-hoc finance assignments and group-related projects as required.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience handling full set accounts; exposure to group or investment holding companies is an advantage.
• Experience supervising or guiding junior accounting staff.

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, SST, and basic taxation.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g. AutoCount or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work with external accountants and auditors effectively

Language

• Proficient in English.
• Chinese (spoken & written) proficiency is required.
