Job Description

  • New Business Acquisition:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in key markets through research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire high-value clients, generating leads and closing new business.
  • Qualify potential leads and assess their business needs to craft tailored solutions.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure partnerships and contracts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Strategic Sales Leadership:
  • Lead sales strategies and business development initiatives, working closely with senior management to align objectives with the company’s growth plans.
  • Drive the sales pipeline, forecast opportunities, and meet revenue targets.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business development executives, sharing best practices and ensuring a high-performing team.
  • Market Research and Trend Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities to develop targeted business development strategies.
  • Leverage insights to refine value propositions and improve client offerings.
  • Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation:
  • Oversee the creation and presentation of compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for the company while meeting the client’s needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to finalize contracts and agreements.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment:
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure business development efforts align with company goals.
  • Collaborate on targeted marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities that support business growth.
  • Share insights and feedback with cross-functional teams to enhance the company’s offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Performance Tracking:
  • Track and report on business development performance, including lead generation, conversion rates, revenue, and client retention.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior management, identifying successes, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor KPIs and continuously refine strategies to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of business development professionals.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
