Job Description

We’re seeking Senior Application Support Engineer / Lead with strong technical, troubleshooting, and programming skills. You will lead a skilled team, resolve complex issues, and ensure smooth operations across software application platform.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical team in delivering high-quality solutions across software, platform, and infrastructure layers.
• Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues; provide hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve incidents efficiently.
• Oversee the helpdesk support process, ensuring timely and effective ticket handling, prioritization, and resolution.
• Monitor application performance proactively; identify and address application weaknesses, bottlenecks, and recurring issues.
• Coordinate with software developers, technical support, operations, and sales teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects and support.
• Manage deployments and version control, ensuring that updates are delivered smoothly with minimal disruption.
• Analyze user and business requirements, and work with developers to implement solutions that enhance platform performance and usability.
• Review and maintain proper technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, incident reports, and deployment guides.
• Mentor and develop the support team, fostering strong troubleshooting habits, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on relevant technologies and recommend improvements to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of systems.
• Support integration and enhancement of applications and ensure systems run optimally across different platforms (e.g., Linux, Windows, cloud).

Job Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ IT, or equivalent disciplines.
• At least 4 years of working experience in the related field.
• Required Skill(s): Spring Framework 4.0 or above (Core, MVC, Boot, Security, Web Services), Java Server Pages (JSP), Java servlet, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS
• Must be able to code with Java J2SE 8 or above and has hands on experience with Spring modules.
• Moderate level of JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, Object-Oriented Design, SQL knowledge
• Experience building REST APIs / Micro-services architecture
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming and experience applying modern design patterns
• Basic knowledge/concept of security principles
• Fundamental understanding of version control (GIT/Maven)
• Knowledge of Apache Tomcat, Unix tools/scripting and web development frameworks (Angular/VueJS/ReactJS) are an advantage
• Demonstrate highly effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
