Job Description

The Computing Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The work is performed under the supervision of the Head of School or Assistant Head of School.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Engage young minds and helping them explore the world.
  2. Nurture children and teenagers to grow holistically.
  3. Guide students to explore academic content and apply it in the real world.
  4. Manage students’ behaviour in school.
  5. ⁠Administer homework and school projects.
  6. ⁠Create test papers and revision materials to prepare students for their exams. 
  7. ⁠Grade students’ assessment papers and give appropriate feedback to the students.
  8. ⁠Create lesson plans in compliance with the school curriculum.
  9. Plan and execute CCA programs and activities.
  10. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

Job and Person Specification

Essential Specification (Must-have)

  1. Minimum qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant field.
  2. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting. (Fresh graduate or candidates with relevant qualification are encouraged to apply.)
  3. PC literate and able to use multi-media resources in the classroom.
  4. Highly motivated, full of initiative, disciplined, and responsible.
  5. Strong commitment and passion for education.
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Fluent in written and verbal English and Malay.

Desirable Specification (Added advantage)

  1. Ability to show evidence of further professional development.
  2. Ability to teach outside of the specialist areas.
  3. Ability to use and understand assessment data.
